Even after a long day spent in the maternity ward, Kate Middleton is as stylish as ever.

For what's sure to be one of the most photographed moments of the year, the 33-year-old opted for a flattering dress by one of her favourite designers, Jenny Packham.

The elegant 33-year-old also wore a Packham number when she presented Prince George to the world in 2013.

The fitted lemon dress featured elbow length sleeves and fell just below the knee.

Kate also defaulted to her trademark nude court shoes and simply added a pair of dainty pearl earrings.

The mum-of-two looked radiant, just twelve hours after initially going into labour.

Her hairdresser entered St Mary's Hospital shortly after noon to help ensure she looked her best.

Neither Kate or William issued a public statement as they presented their newborn to the public.

They will travel home tonight to Kensington Palace, a spokesperson confirmed.
