Baby's Homecoming: Kate and Will take Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana home to Norfolk
Kate Middleton and Prince William have left Kensington Palace with their newborn princess.
The couple are returning home to Anmer Hall in Norfolk with their four-day-old daughter.
The family had spent the last few days in Kensington Palace, introducing Charlotte to the extended family.
According to royal insiders, the couple's two year old son Prince George was 'very excited' to meet his new little sister.
The third in line to the throne was said to be aware of the new arrival and "very excited" to meet her in hospital with his parents soon after Kate Middleton gave birth.
"George was very excited to meet his sister," an insider told Us Weekly.
"George was aware that he would soon have a new brother or sister and has been excited throughout the pregnancy.
“He might have been a little shy around the new baby, but I heard everything went well. He’s great around other children. He’s a very curious boy."
"The Palace was inundated by flowers and gifts from around the world, many from members of the public and others from important figures and officials they have met over the years.
While the world may have been waiting for news of his sister's birth, little George stole the show as he accompanied his father at the hospital's exclusive Lindo Wing, where William was also born.
His blue jumper by Amaia even sold out within hours of him being photographed in it.
