Life's little luxuries: the silk shirt
Marks & Spencer is having a moment right now. The stock is beautiful. Great fabrics, simple but classic cuts, no annoying details (fringing, distressed fabrics, over-embellishment) to ruin the 'more expensive-looking than they actually are' feel of the clothes.
There's lots we want; the navy-suede desert boots, the black, perfectly-cut, heavy-weave cotton trousers for work, the gorgeous Chloe-esque blouses, the cute 60s-style tube skirt, the double-faced unstructured-wool coat. This navy-silk shirt, €135, Marks & Spencer, could be by French label Equipment, which makes the classic double-pocket silk shirt. It's first on our shopping list.
