Life's little luxuries: Silk road

The pashmina was somewhat hijacked, and subsequently ruined, by the SoCoDu set. Actually, there's nothing like a beautiful silk scarf to lift the plainest of outfits from the mundane to the quietly stylish. It works equally well with trousers and a blazer to work, or with jeans and a T-shirt at the weekend.
Irish designer Ciara Silke has worked with both Diane von Furstenberg and Helen Cody. Her prints are striking and graphic, without being too loud, and her colour combinations are neutral enough to work with a fair percentage of your wardrobe. Her line, which is designed in Galway, is manufactured in Italy. Her third collection, featuring 18 silk-twill and cashmere scarves, has just launched.
