Get the look: Holly Carpenter
We'd love to say the summer's here, so the boots and jeans can go to the back of the wardrobe.
But this is the Irish summer, and as we all know, over the next few months, having a stylish way with an umbrella is probably as useful as owning a pair of denim cut-offs.
This look is essentially jeans and a top, but model Holly has managed to add an element of style with her accessories. A classic black tote should be a part of every woman's wardrobe. And the bang-on-trend zip detail on Holly's boots adds edge to the look.
I'm getting married this summer. We are having our wedding on a farm, so most of the time will be spent on grass. So I want flat sandals, as heels will just sink into the grass and I don't really like wedges. They don't need to be white - a pale colour is fine, too. But if you could recommend something fairly practical, that also looks nice, it would be great.
Answer: Jelly sandals might not be the kind of thing you imagined yourself wearing on your wedding day, but the pale-pink thong-sandal kind can actually look very sweet. And the jelly sandal will stand up to being in a potentially mucky field. Miss KG at Brown Thomas has a pair of pale-pink thong sandals with a bow, only €35; while Dune has something similar for €28. Dune also has a pair of jewelled sliders, €95, that are really lovely.
