It's tough to get your collection noticed these days when even exposed nipples don't raise so much as a solitary groomed eyebrow from the FROW.

American designer Rick Owens has stunned even the most veteran of fashion watchers with his latest catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week.

Models walked the runway strapped to each other.  Most carried a fellow model upside down like a backpack, and faced a stroll with that model's lady parts in their face.

His SS16 collection was rather overlooked as the method of presentation preoccupied the audience.

However, there was a method, or rather a message, behind his apparent madness.

Owens (52) said, "The idea was to have women raising women - women becoming women and women supporting women.

"A world of women I know little about and can only attempt to amuse in my own small way."

The show was a massive hit and as it ended Owens was met with "rapturous applause", according to Dazed.
