What should I wear when going to a gig with my niece?

what should i wear when going to a gig with my niece?

I am going to the Michael Buble concert with my teenage niece and I would love something really young and funky to wear. I bought a pair of red high-top Converse recently so I would like to wear them, and was thinking with shorts. What do you think?

I'm glad to hear you're considering trainers, because anything with a heel is a bad idea in such circumstances.

Wear your Converse with a pair of denim cut-offs styled with a graphic-print top, finished off with some statement jewellery for a fresh, uncomplicated look. For a jolt of colour, try the belted shorts with turn-up from Asos (1 €29.16) or River Island's printed city shorts (2 €45).

The key to looking cool is not trying too hard and oftentimes the simplest outfits are the most successful.

Another option is to wear a pair of this season's boyfriend jeans, such as the frayed pair at Penneys (3 €15) or the 'Eloise' style at Monsoon (€75). Pair with H&M's marl-grey jersey top with cut-off sleeves (4 €4.95) and a pair of New Balance trainers. A pair from the Minimus collection will be equal parts uber-hip and practical (€110, Elverys Sports).

Complete the look with a bold tailored edge by layering with the monochrome biker jacket from Boohoo Boutique (5 €60) for the perfect concert outfit.
