Video: Behind the scenes with Keira at Chanel
Keira Knightley says she is a 'Chanel Superwoman' in her new commercial for the brand.
The stunning British actress was named the face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance in 2006. For the scent’s latest campaign, she is starring in a short film, shot by Joe Wright – the man behind Keira’s 2007 film Atonement – which is titled Coco Mademoiselle.
The 25-year-old said she didn’t quite know what to expect from the advertisement, but when she was told she would be donning a beige catsuit, she was intrigued.
"Nobody said exactly what it was going to be like. I knew it was something about a motorbike and I knew it was going to be beige, and they said ‘sort of catsuit’ and I went ‘OK!’” she said in a behind-the-scenes teaser. “It was completely unexpected. It’s a Chanel Superwoman I think."
The commercial for the Chanel fragrance will appear in 30 and 60-second national TV spots, and a corresponding print advertising campaign, shot by iconic photographer Mario Testino, will appear in April issues of fashion magazines.
