Victoria Beckham has worked hard to ensure her handbags have a "timeless, trans-seasonal quality".

The fashion designer launched her e-commerce site earlier this week, with her ready-to-wear line and denim, eyewear and accessories ranges all available. Her lower-priced Victoria, Victoria Beckham collection is also on the site, as well as her Icon line - comprising of the key pieces she has developed over the year.

The site allows Victoria to interact with customers and give style advice, with the star explaining one item she always advises investing in is a quality handbag.

"Quality and luxury have always been the cornerstones of my handbag collection. With every piece, it’s very important to me that I use materials that will stand the test of time. Fashion-wise all the bags are very relevant now, yet they are also iconic shapes that have a timeless, trans-seasonal quality," she told Stylist magazine.

Victoria remains best known for her flattering dress designs. She began her collection by creating the pieces and only recently branched out into other styles.

Her pieces have been worn by stars such as Jennifer Lopez and she's fiercely proud of the work which goes into them.

"A great dress makes a woman feel special and should be easy to wear. To be able to put on a perfect dress and know that it is flattering from every angle is really important to me," she said.

Although many people think of figure-hugging attire when it comes to Victoria's style, she's embraced a more relaxed look recently. Denim is something she is particularly fond of at the moment.

"Essentially I design what I want to wear and what I feel is right for the moment. Women want to feel good in clothes, but also a little sexy and feminine. The raw wash VB1 is my perfect jean; I live in them at the moment! They‘re so versatile I can dress them up for dinner or down for the school run," she said.
