MARY-Kate and Ashley Olsen are feeling the wrath of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for designing a $16,900 fur rucksack.

PETA have dubbed the Olsen sisters the Hairy-Kate and Trashly Trollsen in their latest attack on the child stars-turned-designers.

The pair have been targeted by the animal rights organisation since as far back as 2007 owing to their love of wearing fur, but their latest taunt is thanks to a $16,900 (€13,421) multi-fur rucksack that appears in the latest collection for their CFDA Award-winning label The Row.

The organisation told E! News : "If it looks like a troll and acts like a troll, it's probably a Trollsen Twin - or someone wearing one of their new $16,000 totes, which are made from the fur and skins of innocent animals. What the Olsens lack in creativity, they try to make up for in shock value. Sadly, it's the foxes, calves, and alligator - who often have the fur ripped off them while they are still conscious and able to feel pain - who pay the dearest price."

PETA have now dedicated a whole website to the cause of stopping the twins from using and wearing fur and other animal skins such as snake and crocodile. The 'Meet the Trollsen Twins' site allows you to dress up Hairy-Kate and Trashly in various gruesome, blood-dripping animal garments such as 'butchered beaver boots', a 'mauled mink messenger bag', 'skinned seal stilettos' and an 'electrocuted ermine evening dress'.

The site also includes a reworked version of the show that the twins first found fame on, Full House . Full House of Horrors imagines the fictional Tanner family finding out that Michelle (the character both the sisters played) is going to grow up to be a "hideous, pelt-pushing fur-hag", as PETA puts it, and deciding to disown her.
