American supermodel Tyra Banks is set to create a sitcom named after her unusually large forehead, and based on her awkward teenage years at high school.

She's already a model, presenter, actress, singer, author and entrepreneur and now Tyra Banks can add sitcom creator to her résumé.

The 38-year-old is set to co-create and executive produce Fivehead , a comedy series based on her awkward teenage years at high school. Like many now-beautiful celebrities, Banks claims she was an ugly ducking during her childhood, leading to her being labelled 'Fivehead'.

"In high school, if you have glasses, you're a 'four eyes', if you have braces, you're a 'metal mouth' but if you had my forehead? You're a FIVEHEAD," she told .

She'll work with her America's Next Top Model co-creator Kenya Barris, with whom she also attended school from the age of six. Together they'll create the characters and story, and Barris will then write the scripts. American network ABC will air the show.

"To be able to witness her career was wild, but to be able to watch Tyra grow up was nothing short of nutty," said Barris. "I am blown away by the opportunity to tell not just a great story but a story that I remember so fondly."
