Hands up if your style icon is Olivia Palermo? The American model/style influencer has legions of fans here, including new jeans designer, Pippa O'Connor. I never fail to be impressed by how Olivia continually changes up her look, never looking the same at formal or semi-formal occasions.
The arrival of the party season sends shivers of fear down the necks of so many women - from the hardcore social types who are out all year and desperately want something divine to shine in, to the women who dread having to don something sparkly while also managing heels.
And then there's the home brigade who would much prefer fleece pjs and Strictly Come Dancing on the couch on a Saturday night to putting on false eye lashes and tanning up the legs for a night on the tiles.
