A linen maxi dress with a swirling print in rusty colours for €26 from Jane Norman.



What is the most expensive fashion item you have ever bought?

A 50s style, strapless, tulle prom dress for €400 in Debenhams that I got for my debs.



Who do you think are the best and worst dressed celebrities or style icons?

The best is Rihanna and the worst is Lindsey Lohan.



What is your favourite label or designer?

Stella McCartney.



Approximately how much would you spend on clothes every month?

About €300.



What or who influences your style?

The 60s and 70s, Audrey Hepburn and magazines like More and Vogue.



What was the last fashion item you bought?

White skinny jeans for €39 from Vero Moda.



What was your worst fashion mistake?

Flat shoes with a maxi dress, it was far too long.



What is one thing you love and one thing you hate in fashion?

I love big hair, especially beehives and I hate clashing colours.

The best is Cheryl Cole and the worst is Marilyn Manson.

A multi-coloured, ikat print maxi dress from Topshop.



What was your worst fashion mistake?

Dresses that were too short.



What is one thing you love and one thing you hate in fashion?

I love playsuits and I hate kitten heels.

Vintage shops in Paris, particularly around the 4th arrondissement.



What was your best bargain buy?

A huge, Sirius 70 monogrammed suitcase by Louis Vuitton that used to belong to Michael Douglas' ex-wife Diandra and is stamped with her details. I got it for about $50 from a market in Brooklyn.



What is the most expensive fashion item you have ever bought?

A pair of black suede ankle boots with a bright pink heel for €200 from Buffalo.



Who do you think are the best and worst dressed celebrities or style icons?

The best is Daisy Lowe and the worst is Jordan.



What is your favourite label or designer?

Chanel.



Approximately how much would you spend on clothes every month?

About €600.



What or who influences your style?

Travel, especially to New York and Paris.



What was the last fashion item you bought?

A red checked denim, sleeveless shirt-dress from All Saints.



What was your worst fashion mistake?

A grey bubble jacket worn with a red bandana when I was younger.



What is one thing you love and one thing you hate in fashion?

I love tailored trousers and I hate Uggs.

What is your favourite shop?

The Beach in Whistler. It's a quirky little boutique with lots of Australian and Danish labels and also has great surf brands and jewellery.



What was your best bargain buy?

A black leather bomber jacket reduced from €450 to €200 in Ted Baker. I got it about three years ago and still get so much wear out of it.



What is the most expensive fashion item you've bought?

An emerald green silk dress by Little Joe by Gail Elliott for €350 in Brown Thomas. It's knee-length with an empire line cut, sunray pleats, black grosgrain trim and a ruffled neck and hemline.



Who do you think are the best and worst dressed celebrities or style icons?

The best are Chloe Sevigny and Helena Christensen and the worst is Victoria Beckham.



What is your favourite label or designer?

Miu Miu.



How much would you spend on clothes every month?

About €150.



What or who influences your style?

My bank balance. Also, I spent a year in Denmark and love their style. It's not very trend driven, just beautifully pared back and uses a great mix of timeless style, femininity and vintage pieces.



What was the last fashion item you bought?

A marle grey, sheer jersey shirt-dress with a lilac bow print on the front for £75 from Ted Baker at London airport.



What was your worst fashion mistake?

A purple high-necked dress from Reiss with what I can only describe as a very unflattering pelmet over the bust, I think that says it all!



What is one thing you love and one thing you hate in fashion?

I have a background in textile design so I always consider textures and fabrics and especially like floaty fabrics with tougher fabrics like leather, and I hate the body-con trend.
