My Style

Zara McDaid (28)

Artist / art teacher / columnist

I've always loved fashion and it's a theme that features heavily in my paintings.

I set up a Facebook page and blog for my work as a way to reach a wider audience. It's a great way of getting feedback and commissions. I'm hooked on Pinterest: it's a great place to catalogue my ideas and get inspired and motivated.

I'm a big fan of Jessica Alba and Olivia Palermo, and I adore the quirky street style of Russian fashionista Miroslava Duma. My favourite designer is Isabel Marant, especially her slouchy knits and tailored jackets. But top of my wishlist has to be Alexander Wang's stud-bottomed Rocco bag.

Storewise, my favourites are Shutterbug and Zara. This skirt is from there and the necklace is from Egypt.
