Cate Blanchett won the Oscar for Best Actress and was easily the best dressed on the night - but it comes at a cost.

The Blue Jasmine wore an intricately embroidered Armani Privé dress to the Academy Awards ceremony earlier this month and a whopping xxx worth of jewels, it has been revealed.

Her gown alone cost an estimated €100,000 and her Chopard jewels brought her right up to the most expensive look on the night, costing eight figures.

The rankings were filed by Australian Vogue, which counts Charlize Theron's stunning black Dior gown as the second most expensive look on the night, worth an estimated €15.89m.

Both Theron and Blanchett led the cost by miles as Sandra Bullock, who placed third, had an ensemble worth €8.24m - a fraction of her the winner and runner-up.

The Wolf of Wall Street's Margot Robbie wore an outfit costing €8m and Jennifer Garner's look cost €5m, thanks to her Oscar de la Renta gown and jewels.
