The not-so-fashion forward Diane Kruger

The SAG awards took place on Sunday and as usual the critics were out in force, praising and pounding in equal measure. Best-dressed lists have been drafted and style fans divided.
Despite the stylists and free designer dresses, it seems celebs are inspired by their mates, just like us mere mortals.
Generally, to deem something vintage it’s got to be 20 years old. Once it’s vintage you can tweak it and steal it and be inspired by it. You will probably even be praised and adored for it. Anything less than 20 years old though, is just old news.
So, it was a surprise to me that one of my favourite style crushes Diane Kruger seemed to go back only four short years to take inspiration. From one of her peers too - the beautiful Michelle Williams. She may have even gotten away with it if the mustard/yellow gown hadn’t been so distinctive to begin with.
While Williams wore Vera Wang to the Academy Awards back in the day, Kruger opted for Michelle Obama’s favourite designer Jason Wu.
