Summer in a suitcase

Bairbre Power does a summer edit to let you holiday in style
S is for summer; S is for strategic. It's one thing knowing how to pack like a genius, but the real skill comes in identifying what fashion companions you want to buy for the holidays.
Neons, pastels, florals and vivid prints, the colour palettes are awesome this season and you can shine on the fashion radar with minimal outlay. The good news is that the same style concepts work from city break to beach and beyond.
Use sharpish, fluoro colours as a colour bomb to spice up conventional floral prints. Play with scale. A small, pretty Paisley print is less scary than those big, show-off botanical prints but you can also play it safe by chosing florals on a slimming, dark background.
Pack with the iron in mind – and I'm advocating non-ironing here. Jersey pieces are a girl's best friend; all those softly draped, roll-me-up gems that pack like a dream and spring into action on arrival.
I loved the jersey options I discovered in the Alwear high-summer collection. They can be polished up with killer heels and clutch at night after working during the day as a bikini pal at the pool.
Double denim is enjoying a revival, but I'm strongly resisting the notion that denim skinnies are losing their grip on our affections, to be replaced by high waisted boyfriend jeans.
My denim crush this week is AlWear's skater dress, which is full of contradictions with its high neck and capped sleeves.
It's the perfect black canvas for you to work your styling magic, from ethnic turquoise beads, waterfall, neon crystals to an embellished faux collar and a gilt statement necklace.
A|wear has teamed up with Sunway Holidays to offer a voucher for €100 off your summer holiday when you spend €50 instore this summer. Make sure to ask instore for details, or go to awear.com.
