Stylemma: Mother of the groom

Dear Stylemma, I am mother of the groom, and the wedding is in July. I am size 8-10, but I am finding it impossible to find a three-piece suit (jacket, skirt and top) for my size. I am in the Munster area.
Could you recommend any shops? This year, when it comes to mother-of-the-bride/groom fashion choices, it’s all about dress/jacket combos, so we totally understand your frustration. But don’t despair, there are plenty of stores that offer tasteful three-piece suits. Hannon’s Fashion Shop in Kerry, tel: (066) 714-1238, specialises in formal wear, and has an extensive bridal range. They currently have a restrained-yet-stylish cream and gold three-piece suit, which falls below the knee, for just €435, from the Gold brand. It has delicate beading, three-quarter-length jacket sleeves and a skirt with a subtle kick— perfect. Divine boutique in Cork, tel: (021) 470-0852, stocks a great range of small sizes. Spanish label Marcelino’s purple three-piece suit, €499, is a classic cut, and would look great with a delicate fascinator and some jet earrings. BT Cork offers a free personal-shopping service to mothers of the bridal party, and it has some great three-piece suits in store. We’d recommend Moschino’s timeless green tweed jacket, €850, and skirt, €250, which would look sensational with a cream chiffon blouse. Debenhams in Cork also has a personal shopper.
