Yvonne Keating might be considered one of the most stylish women in Ireland, but even she isn't exempt from a style misstep.

The mother-of-three, who won the Most Stylish Woman award at the xxx VIP Style Awards, doesn't look back on all of her outfits with the same fondness.

In particular, the head-to-toe cow print ensemble she wore to the MTV Europe Music Awards in Dublin in 1999, with her ex-husband Ronan wearing a complementary black suit (and cowboy hat).

"Because it was the MTV Awards and it was in Dublin, everyone was trying to make a statement and be something different," she told the Irish Daily Mail.

The event will take place on October 4 at venues across Ireland and she has encouraged women to delve into their wardrobes for a good cause.

"Every dress tells a different story and I know that women wear clothes to suit their mood. When I look in my wardrobe, I remember where I was when I bought a dress, or where I was when I wore that dress," she said.

"The dress I am donating is by Irish designer Theia who is now a red carpet favourite with Hollywood A-listers. I wore it to a lovely lunch with my brother and his wife and we had such a good day, one I will always have great memories from. I loved wearing this dress and I hope its next owner will feel extra special in it too."
