The Style Notebook: Jolene Callaghan of vintage fashion store Nine Crows

Each fortnight, we catch up with one of our favourite bloggers, models and Instagram stars to talk all things beauty and style.
This week it's Jolene Callaghan, from one of Ireland's best-loved vintage stores, Nine Crows. The fashion-forward Dubliner has amassed over 20,000 Instagram followers due to her creative sense of style and fierce beauty looks.
I've always had a huge interest in make-up, since I was a little girl. It's something I've always been fascinated by. I think it comes from my mam, even though she doesn't actually wear make-up (apart from blue mascara) she's always been so creative.
I did a make-up training course with LA College of Creative Arts so that helped me understand beauty a lot more.
My favourite beauty treat is getting my nails done. I hate having short nails.
I'm really good at winged eyeliner and could probably even apply it in the dark... but ask me to apply it on someone else and it's never going to happen. I haven't mastered that yet.
I absolutely love Mac's Strobe Cream for a nice dewy look during daytime. I tend to apply it with a soft powder highlighter from Mac.
I'm obsessed with lipstick and I probably couldn't go a day without it. My current facourites are Inglot's matte lipstick in shade 405 and Mac's Whirl.
At night I love a red lip and always turn to Mac's Ruby Woo. It's a classic.
When it comes to fragrance I spritz Christian Dior Addict, which I've been wearing for years. I've tried so many different fragrances but always end up back to this one.
I have a very simple skincare routine.
Every morning I cleanse and moisturise my face before I start on my make-up.
I'm very lucky. I've always had really good skin growing up. I always drink a lot of water throughout the day... that helps.
I won't wear make-up if I have time off and I'm not doing anything. I'll apply a face mask and slather Elizabeth Arden 8-Hour Cream all over my face. I've been using that for a long time. I absolutely love the smell even if a lot of people wouldn't agree with me.
At night I use Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water to remove my make-up - I couldn't recommend it enough. I follow it up with an eye and face cream. And I also try to get at least eight hours' sleep.
My hair is bleached so I have to be extra cautious of the products I use and how I style my hair. I use Kerastase Bain de Force shampoo and conditioner. If it wasn't for those products I'd probably have no hair.
I like the beach hair look, although I don't think I've quite mastered that yet. I've dyed my hair every colour known to man: green, purple, half-brown, half-blonde, peach... you name it and I've probably had it.
I actually think I might change it up again this year.
Zara and Nine Crows are favourite shop for clothes.
My best purchase is my reworked leather jacket from Nine Crows, it goes with everything.
I tend to wear a lot of black, but for a night out I will wear a lot of gold jewellery or gold belts. I have a Chanel belt that I love, that's right up there on my list.
My style icon is Valentina Muntoni, one of the co-creators of online fashion shop Rat and Boa. She's effortlessly cool and I think she's the most beautiful woman in the world. She's a girlboss too and that's inspiring.
Out and about
I'm always in the mood for going out for a dance. I've been listening to a lot of hip hop lately and then tends to get me in the mood (even though my friend Naomi hates it).
My favourite spot for a coffee is Hippety's in Temple Bar. It's really cute and the staff are always so friendly. When it comes to drinks I don't really have a favourite place but I do love Dublin's South William Street area in general. It has such a nice atmosphere.
When I have time off I love going on adventures. I recently rented bikes in the Phoenix Park with my best friend. It was so much fun. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
My favourite holiday spot is Ibiza. I lived there for some time. It's such a beautiful island, the people and weather are amazing. But, I'm ashamed to say that I haven't travelled that much around Ireland. I really want to get a camper van and go explore the country this summer.
I hate relaxing. I love being busy. The only time I unwind is probably when I'm asleep.
