While Ireland's glitterati try to translate their fame into viable income, Pippa O'Connor and Lisa Fitzpatrick have emerged victorious on the DIY fashion front.

Models Roz Purcell and Rosanna Davison might be battling it out for the Queen of Natural Nutrition title in the headlines, but it's Pippa and Lisa who have been not so quietly making waves on the style front.

The model turned lifestyle guru and the long-standing style icon are both hosting their own branded shows around the country, capitalising on their star status with fans willing to fork out big money to see their social media crushes in person.

Pippa began hosting her 'Fashion Factory' in December of last year and has already hosted five shows around Ireland; while Lisa hosted her first 'Fashion Fix' last month and after its success, has lined up several more into the summer.

They're billed as the 'ultimate girlie day out', but what do you get for five hours of your life on a Saturday, for nearly €100?

PIPPA'S FASHION FACTORY

Price: €99

What you get: A fashion show featuring Andrea Roche models, makeup tips by Tara O'Farrell, hair styling advice and perhaps most impressively, a number of brands hosting stands at the show to lure in customers.

What you walk away with: €50 goodie bag

Hospitality: ‘Afternoon Tea and Bellinis’

Big name guests: Pippa tends to take centre stage at her events, however she recruits celebrity makeup artist and hair stylists for her beauty tips, while also nabbing a host of familiar faces for her runway show(s).

Why it works: As one of the golden girls of the Celtic Tiger, Pippa appeals to the Instagram generation – who obsess over her looks and will pay top dollar to learn how to get it.
