Style Wars? Lisa Fitzpatrick says chokers are 'horrendous'
Is there a new style war brewing?
Stylist Lisa Fitzpatrick today described chokers as "horrendous" and "awful" during a segment on fashion advice.
The mother-of-two was a guest on The Pat Kenny Show, answering style dilemmas for listeners, when she was asked about her thoughts on chokers, which have been the talk of Twitter since Miriam O'Callaghan wore hers on Prime Time on Tuesday night.
"They're horrendous, awful – Madonna did them many many years ago and it should stay that way, back that length of time," she said, but did not mention the RTE star's name.
Miriam is unlikely to be bothered about the feedback as she said that she doesn't take her style too seriously and likes to experiment when it comes to her on-air wardrobe.
"By and large, I suit structure and simplicity in clothes," she explained.
"I like trying different looks as well - otherwise you bore yourself and everyone else who's forced to look at you in their living rooms," she added.
"The reaction has been hilarious. I love chokers and always did so I am delighted they are all back in fashion," she said. "I got a hugely positive reaction to it so happy days."
