Style Spy: What we're coveting this week

The product: Essie Gel Couture polish range
I'm not being dramatic when I say this is the best at-home gel polish I've used. It's three days after my first application and there isn't so much as a chip. The same results as shellac with no damage? Yes please. €12.99 at Boots and pharmacies nationwide.
The accessory: Baseball cap at River Island
Perfect for bad hair days, rainy hair days, greasy hair days - basically, it's a way of hiding your laziness from the world and looking on point all in one. It's festival friendly and faux leather texture means it won't waste away in the rain. €20 at River Island.
The statement piece: L'Amour jacket at New Look
At some press days, one piece always stands out from the best. For New Look's Autumn/Winter collection, that would be this patchwork bomber jacket that was pretty much made to brighten up your Instagram feed. In stores in September.
The bargain buy: Butter Gloss by NYX
It's my favourite pharmacy brand, but I've officially been converted after trying the Butter Gloss by NYX recently. For a pout to inspire Kylie Jenner, try shade Tiramisu. €7.75 at pharmacies nationwide.
The event: Brown Thomas' Autumn/Winter Fashion Show
Always one of the best events on the calendar, the preview of the designers collections at Brown Thomas on Tuesday morning was filled with dreamy dresses, the prettiest of prints and not to mention the shoes. Our fashion fantasies came alive and now we're saving for their imminent arrival in stores.
The date for your diary: Most Stylish Lady at The Shelbourne
Racing season is in full swing and if you're not ready to call it a day after Ladies Day at the Dublin Horse Show on July 21, pop along to the No. 27 Bar at The Shelbourne Hotel for the chance to win some fabulous prizes at the five-star venue. Judges included Irish Independent Fashion Editor Bairbre Power and milliner Carol Kennelly. The party starts at 6:30 and if you win, who knows when it might end?
