Striking the balance between a fashionable outfit and one that provides comfort on the weekend can be a tricky thing. Do you brunch in heels? Yes, if you can comfortably place one foot in front of the other. Can you show a little leg? As long as you don't mind exposing your limbs to Irish winter temperatures, go ahead.

Sipping on fruity mimosas while munching on poached eggs and avocado brioche buns, doesn't necessarily require a fashionable get-up but sometimes we can't resist.

And we're looking to Pippa with her sartorially-inspiring weekend look so we can enjoy brunch in style.

The 32-year-old hosted the second day of her Fashion Factory workshop in Dublin's Gibson Hotel on Saturday wearing an oversized, black jersey dress from Zara (€39.95), which she paired with a pair of last season's open-toe boots from ASOS.

The outfit was perfect for Pippa's hosting duties but it's such a versatile number that we're already thinking of the many ways we can work it for our chic midmorning dining adventure.

It's roomy enough to hide our 'second-helping' bloat. On a cold and frosty day, the dress can be paired with thick, black opaque tights or skinny jeans. It can also be worn over a turtleneck or long sleeve tee. Heels or flats? Both are perfectly acceptable.

On and a special mention to the mother-of-two's star-print 'I can't believe it's not designer' Penneys dress. The perfect Saturday night look? Yes.
