Miss Ireland Joanna Cooper sure knows how to stand out from the crowd.
The 21-year-old pageant queen is continuing Ireland's tradition of creating dramatic national costume ensembles, designed by rising Irish designers.
For the national costume round of the international pageant, she donned a nude embellished body stocking with yellow and green ribbons, sequins and dramatic yellow pleated wings.
As she entered the stage, she wore a full length green hood in the Eamon McGill designed piece. Sharing a pouty snap of her behind the scenes, she said: "I swear I'm a lot happier than I look in this photo. My national costume was amazing, thanks so much @eamonnmcgilldesign - you're too talented."
Last year, Cork native Lisa Madden wore a 'Celtic Warrior' costume designed by Claire Garvey which also caught attention.
But Joanna, from Derry, is clearly doing something right as she's creating a stir in Sin City and emerging as a hot favourite at Miss Universe.
She has been keeping her 23,000 Instagram followers up to date with all her activity, including a successful turn in the swimwear and evening gown rounds for Thursday night's preliminary final.
The official final takes place on Sunday, December 20 at Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas and Joanna has been hotly tipped throughout the competition to land in the top 15.
