For her last state dinner as U.S. First Lady, Michelle Obama went out with a bang.
She wore an ivory column gown by American designer Brandon Atwood, who rose to fame as Lady Gaga's stylist and remains her go-to designer.
The shape of her sure to be a classic dress was reminiscent of the jumpsuit Gaga wore to the Oscars earlier this year.
But back to Michelle - the First Lady and President Barack Obama welcomed the Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife Ho Ching to the White House on Tuesday night to much fanfare.
And Maxwell was clearly thrilled with the boost his designs have been given, saying in an email to Women's Wear Daily: "It has been an incredible honor for me and my team to create this dress for the First Lady. Strong and elegant, she is the embodiment of the woman that inspires me to create, and a role model for women all over the world."
