US First Daughter Ivanka Trump is already proving to be something of a style chameleon.

During inauguration weekend, the mother-of-three (35) secured a spot on international best dressed lists with an array of professional and polished looks as she stayed by her father's side during his first 72 hours as the 45th President of the United States.

From a parade of Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera, she went for a make-under at a swearing in ceremony at the White House on Sunday, the last in a weekend filled with political engagements.

She was joined by her husband Jared Kushner (36) and their three children - Arabella Rose (five), Joseph Frederick (three) and Theodore James (10 months) - at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, where they will be spending a considerable amount of time over the next four years.

The couple purchased a $5.5m home just a few minutes away from the White House and while Kushner has been approved as a senior adviser to the president, it's also reported Ivanka might have her own office there as she will taking on an unofficial consultancy role.

Her choice of outfits over the weekend have dissected to every fine detail by fashion editors around the world - including the white waterfall suit she wore to the inauguration and the shimmering gold princess-style gown she wore to the Liberty Freedom Ball.

As for speculation that she will be filling the first lady role, the businesswoman said the description was "inappropriate", despite the fact that her stepmother Melania will remain in her penthouse at Trump Tower in New York with 10-year-old son Barron.

"I think it’s an inappropriate observation," she said on 20/20.

"There’s one first lady and she’ll do remarkable things.”
