Irish model Niamh Cullen's horror as her photos used for numerous Facebook, Instagram and Tinder profiles
Former Miss Ireland hopeful Niamh Cullen was 'shocked' to discover that her personal pictures were being used for multiple different accounts on social media.
The 23-year-old has revealed that she was targeted four separate times by people setting up fake profiles.
The former Miss Sunday World said that the scams were shocking and scary.
"It actually happened twice on my Instagram. I laughed at first because my initial reaction was shock," she told The Sunday World.
"Both times the person used my exact name which I found really odd. Anyone that knew me could have made contact thinking that profile was mine. It's a scary thought."
People have also stolen her pictures and set up fake profile accounts on Facebook, including one under the name of "Samantha Jameson".
A face of Cocoa Brown tan, Assets model Niamh was horrified when her photos were used for online dating app Tinder.
"Whoever set up the Tinder account went to a lot of trouble to make it look personal. They even took pictures of my dog from my profile. I did make contact with them but they blocked me. Eventually it was removed," she stated.
Niamh is not the only Irish model to be targeted in this way.
Both Thalia Heffernan and former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter have previously said that they were the victim of "cat fishing".
