Beyonce's stylish sister Solange Knowles has rocked a red-hot ensemble as she attends Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans.

On Monday, the singer shared an Instagram post, decked out in red thigh high boots and a red feathery robe with a matching crop top.

The style chameleon finished off her look with a fiery wig.

“@SaintHeron Mardi Gras 'Crush on You' Ball,” the mother-of-one captioned the photo.

The 29-year-old star appeared to be channeling rapper Lil' Kim with her rouge look.

According to the website for Saint Heron — a compilation album from Knowles’ record label Saint Records —  her outfit was an ode to Lil’ Kim’s nineties hit Crush on You as the Mardi Gras event she was attending required all guests to wear yellow, green or red.

Knowles is not one to shy away from a daring look and her Instagram feed is filled with stylish and beautifully shot images.

Fearless in her approach to colour and print, the actress, DJ and singer, is clearly a woman who knows her own style.

The veritable mix master is renowned for piecing any outfit together with sophistication and effortlessness.

The 29-year-old currently resides in New Orleans with her husband, music video director, Alan Ferguson (52), and her 11-year-old son from a previous relationship, Daniel Jules Smith Jr.

Her little boy recently cheered his mum up with a heart-warming message after the singer lost her wedding ring during Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans on Thursday.

She took to Twitter to share the sweet moment with her son with her 2.2 million followers.

"My son said, mom I'm just happy YOU didn't fly off the float, & that your safe, & that you still get to have the love you have. *tears dried," she wrote.

Konwles reportedly lost her ring when she was enjoying the carnival celebrations as the Honorary Muse to local all-female group, the Krewe of Muses, on a stiletto-shaped float.

While she was throwing beads into the cheering crowds, Solange's art deco inspired ring, reportedly slipped off her hand.
