Baz Ashmawy and his mammy Nancy brought some serious Irish glamour to the International Emmy's red carpet in New York.

The pair won the 'Best Non-Scripted Entertainment' award for their show '50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy' at Monday night's award ceremony.

It was the first time they walked an international red carpet together but Ireland's most successful mammy export and her son appeared effortlessly stylish and serene as they posed for photographs.

Baz (40) looked dapper in an elegant Louis Copeland navy tuxedo that perfectly complemented Nancy's blue velvet gown.

Speaking to the Anton Savage Show on Today FM, Baz joked: “When you have to colour co-ordinate your evening year with your mother, I’ll be honest, it’s a low point in my life.

“Mum went into Arnotts and she got all kitted out. I popped into Louis [Copeland’s] and got a new suit."

The Ashmawys didn't let the win go to their heads as they skipped the five-star restaurants and instead celebrated their win with chicken wings in an Irish bar.
