And they're off! Fashionable fillies (and Marty Morrissey) kick off the style stakes at Punchestown
The battle for Best Dressed Lady has begun at Punchestown Racecourse.
The annual festival kicked off this afternoon with dozens of well-dressed women vying for the top prize of the day. As usual, it was an affair filled with some familiar faces including RTE presenters Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh and Marty Morrissey, who happily posed for pictures together on arrival.
Dáithí Ó Sé, fresh from wrapping Today for another season, appeared in typically jovial spirits. Designer Jennifer Wrynne, a regular competitor on the best dressed circuit, opted for a monochrome ensemble and a headpiece of her own design; while judge Rhona McNamara, a jockey, stunned in an all-white ensemble and classic camel coat.
This week will see a host of Irish fashionistas put their judging hat on for Bollinger's Best Dressed Lady including former Xpose presenter Aisling O’Loughlin and Vogue Williams.
This year's prize winner will win return business class flights to visit Champagne, France with two nights in Reims and dinner each evening in addition to a champagne lunch and private tour of the Bollinger estate.
