Style Dilemma: Quest for a perfect leather pencil skirt

I'm searching for a good-quality leather pencil skirt. Most of what I've come across wouldn't last one month let alone several seasons. Moira (32), Co Louth
I've long considered pencil skirts the perfect desk-to-dinner piece, and leather is a top line trend for autumn/winter 2012. Combine the two and you've got a garment worth investing in.
Asos Collection has a gorgeous burgundy one, crafted from super-smooth leather (€127.95). This almost-midi-length skirt has a fitted waist, slant pockets at the hips and fitted seams through the body.
Hobbs London has a gorgeous, supple, black-leather one that is high-waisted and very figure-friendly, nipping in at all the right places (£199, www.hobbs.co.uk).
For anyone not looking for an investment piece, Dunnes Stores' black PU pencil skirt (€25) is well worth trying.
Also worth mentioning is up- and-coming Irish designer Sinead Doyle's merino and black leather, hand-knit tube skirt.
It's quite the statement skirt for winter (€380, American Honey).
