I'm looking for some cool outfits to wear to some festivals this summer. What are the key trends for festival wear and where are the best places to shop for them?

Festival wear is doing the hippy hippy shake this summer as the coolest outfits have a decidedly summer of love feel about them. Recently at Coachella, the Californian music festival which acts as a barometer of style to what the rest of the world will be wearing at festivals, the look was very much about peace and love man!

The maxi dress has been replaced by toned tan thighs flashed in denim cut-offs, fringed mini dresses or tie-dye frocks. Look out for turquoise jewellery and beaded fringe earrings, www.pulseaccessories.ie has a fantastic choice. Feather earrings and accessories are another fast way to inject a touch of hippy chic into your festival outfit.

Try a tasselled suede bag, or a fringed jacket or waistcoat from River Island.

Fringed sandals from Reiss have replaced the gladiator sandal. Ditch your wellies in favour of a cool pair of beat-up cowboy boots accessorised with tanned legs. Littlewoods and Office both do good styles and it's worth sticking your head into Zara as they regularly do small drops of suede gaucho-style boots in sandy shades.

Crochet is another big hit on the festival scene. A peek-a-boo crochet dress can look really sexy dressed down with a tan leather jacket and belt or some worn looking denim.

Miss Selfridge, Zara and Dorothy Perkin's are good port of calls for your crochet fix.
