QI'm starting a new job as a principal. In my last job, I became a staid dresser wearing navy suits -- I was not myself. I love fashion; I'm size 10 and 5'4". I have blonde hair, fair skin and am 32 years old. This is a new start for me and I want to make a good impression, but be myself. Can you offer me advice on a few key pieces to complement my wardrobe?

AI would suggest choosing mix and match tailored separates rather than a suit which can be a bit devoid of personality. Pick tailored pieces that have a fashionable cut such as trousers with a wide-leg cut -- big for spring -- or some cute cropped pants.

Kitten heels are a great work-wardrobe choice. Penneys stocks powder-blue styles for €13 while Jasper Conran for Debenhams has go-with-everything nude pairs for €45.

A boyfriend jacket is invaluable; choose a nude tone to add a touch of spring to your outfit.

Finally, invest in a go-with-everything neutral bag to lighten up your look for the season ahead.
