THE weather was textbook perfect and the fashion stakes were high when the TV3 ‘family’ gathered to celebrate the marriage of its chirpy weatherman Martin King to photographer Jenny McCarthy.
Having photographed a battalion of brides in the past, there was one thing for certain – Jenny’s dress would stand out. She chose a pearl-embellished, ivory gown by Paula King of Tamem Michael, the award winning bridal fashion company in Ballymount, Dublin.
Stylish guests included ‘Xpose’ executive producer Debbie O’Donnell, who wore an elegant black dress with chain detail from Bastyan at Brown Thomas. Sybil Mulcahy, who is expecting her third child in April, proudly showed off her bump in an Roksanda Ilincic dress, with Gemini chandelier earrings.
Golden couple Bill Cullen and Jackie Lavin arrived dressed almost matching in shades of brown and dark tan.
Former model Ms Lavin chose an above-the-knee, bodycon, ruched dress under a long brown suede coat with fur collar. Sheer black tights and short, black, wedged ankle boots completed her look.
For Bill, it was a well cut, rich tan Crombie, with cheeky red tie and designer suit.
Newlyweds Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick looked tanned and dapper in suits in contrasting shades of silver and navy. ‘Ireland AM’s’ Mark Cagney, who never bores of finding unusual socks to wear in studio, wore a razor-sharp tailored suit in navy.
The groom chose a two-button black suit with white shirt and tie, while navy blue was the colour theme for couple’s extended family of five children.
