Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney's collection with Dunnes Stores 'flying off the rails'
Amy Huberman, Vogue Williams and Angela Scanlon will all inspire key pieces in Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney's spring summer 2016 Dunnes Stores collection.
The design duo, who fronted RTÉ's flagship fashion show 'Off the Rails', launched their exclusive line in store yesterday with several items named after Courtney and Lennon's "style ambassadors" such as PR maven Rhona Blake.
Next season, Courtney and Lennon will continue the theme, christening staples after other fashion savvy women. So expect to see 'The Amy', 'The Angela' and 'The Vogue'.
Dubbed "hard-working clothes for hard-working women", the collection consists of sophisticated staples and "wardrobe fixers".
As ever with Lennon Courtney, the devil is in the detail here and dresses come with hidden pockets, clean lines and strong and striking silhouettes.
Since launching online last weekend, items have been flying off the rails.
"The reaction online has been fantastic," said Sonya Lennon. "People were hurrying to the shops to get certain pieces. We are thrilled."
Prices begin at €79 for the Evie Top.
Asked if she or Courtney had been nervous ahead of the launch, Lennon said: "We don't have the luxury of time to get nervous, we just fling ourselves into it."
