Meteorologist Jean Byrne is known for being fashion forward but this time she has surely outdone herself.

The Met Eireann forecaster upstaged diehard fashionistas at a charity lunch yesterday.

Jean's top featured a revealing window front in sheer, black mesh and the curving, jigsaw-like design around the bust line accentuated her ample curves.

Worn with black leather skinny jeans, this was not an outfit for the fainthearted and Jean's ‘attitudinal rock chick' look was completed with a black patent envelope clutch and star earrings.

Some people at the Design Centre's fifth annual ‘Irish Fashion Exposure Extravaganza' in the Hibernian Club on St Stephen’s Green in aid of the Order of St Lazarus didn't recognise Jean with her hair tied back – but they certainly noticed her outfit.

The Kerry woman regularly draws attention from RTE viewers because of her distinctive outfits on RTE. The Joanne Hyne's silver tinsel dress on Christmas Day 2011 lit up the RTE switchboard and her male fan club were vocal in their appreciation of her tight black leather dress from the same designer.
