Sheer shirts offer sexy style

Whoever said blouses can’t be sexy obviously hadn’t heard about the current trend for sheer shirts.
Designers across the globe have been bowing to the trend, meaning opaque shirts have been all over the catwalks at top fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent and Dolce & Gabbana.
Celebrity Francesca Eastwood wore a gorgeous striped one with pale hues recently, teamed with a black skirt for a rockier edge. British television presenter Fearne Cotton has also been experimenting with the look, going for a more office-like twist by matching her purple see-through shirt with a neck scarf and smart trousers. Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szohr opted for a raunchier take on the trend, by teaming her black polka-dot Alexa Chung for Madewell sheer shirt with leopard-print heels.
Obviously one of the key decisions you need to make when deciding to don a see-through shirt is whether you’ll be adventurous and go for just a sexy bra underneath, or play it safe with a plain vest or leotard.
It’s probably best to take the latter option if you’re wearing your sheer shirt to work, but for a hot date why not invest in a raunchy new bra and take a risk.
There are numerous options on the high street, ranging from plain white to bright patterned ones and vintage-style opaques with feminine ruffles. Whichever one you go for, you’ll be sure to get some appreciative glances this season.
