Rihanna ditches the shock factor and opts for demure in New York

She usually provides the shock factor with her racy and revealing attire but pop star Rihanna opted for a demure lady-like look for her appearance at a New York fashion show.
The singer has earned herself a reputation as one of Hollywood’s scantily-clad starlets but yesterday she revealed her soft side.
The 26-year-old donned an elegant powdery-pink frock at the Dior Cruise Fashion Show in Brooklyn.
Her short-sleeved silky dress was teamed with colourful Dior pumps, a cute bag and extravagant jewellery.
The sleek number made Rihanna fit right in with the fashion glitterati at the showcase of the French designer.
She wore the brand's pearl earrings, silver cuff with matching necklace and the pearl cuff, which retails at $1,500 - according to Rihanna Overdose.
But Rihanna hasn’t suddenly turned over a new fashion leaf.
Earlier this week she was flashing some side-boob in a white Stella McCartney creation at the Met Gala.
A little too much was on display as she roamed the red carpet alongside a string of opulently-dressed celebrities.
The songstress was then spotted giving the paparazzi at the Up & Down after-party a glimpse of her bottom as the shimmery material hung a little loose.
Her Instagram account mysteriously disappeared on Monday but a rep for the photo-sharing site said it was not due to the pop star uploading offensive images.
‘‘This account was mistakenly caught in one of our automated systems and very briefly disabled. We apologize for any inconvenience,’’ the rep told MailOnline.
Rihanna sat front row alongside her best friend Melissa Forde and the pair got an up-close look at Dior’s latest line.
The fashion house presented colourfully-flecked tweed jackets and flower-printed shift dresses.
As the Barbadian-born star left the event, she covered her pretty pink dress with a lavish metallic silver coat.
The singer is currently working on her eighth studio album and will kick off The Monster Tour with Eminem in August.
