Red carpet wrap: Worst, Jennifer Lawrence. Best, Berenice Marlhoe
In the week when she complained that "for some disgusting reason, young sex sells even more", Jennifer Lawrence showed that she wasn't just mouthing empty words. The 23-year-old certainly made an impact at the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
We're pretty sure that she meant to hide her svelte figure underneath this ill-fitting, baggy Christian Dior dress with its crazy Smartie-like sequinned panel.
While, of course, we applaud a celebrity who really lives by the principles she espouses – even her spiky heels are really quite meh – really someone should tell the actress that sexy doesn't have to mean sleazy, and fitted can be chic, not cheap.
Ironically, that's a lesson that's probably wasted on the young. Sigh. The name's Marlhoe, Berenice Marlhoe and I'm taking my role as a sexy Bond girl very seriously. That's why I'm smouldering in red-hot lace clinging to every curve.
Ms Marlhoe clearly believes that life imitates art, and why shouldn't she when there's such gorgeous D&G fitted dresses to pour oneself into. It's not easy to work the red carpet on a cold winter's evening, but the former spy candy has got it right in this long-sleeved, high-necked dress that is just figure-hugging enough. We're impressed.
