Red Carpet Wrap: Best and worst dressed
Who is a style queen and who should be taken away by the fashion police this week?
Best Dressed: Freida Pinto
We didn't think it'd last but we have to admit that (for once) we're happy to be wrong.
After all, everyone loves a fairytale, don't they? And this one had all the right ingredients: a beautiful model, an unassuming actor and a movie sensation.
There was even a shadowy fiance in the background, but enough about that. Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty didn't worry about bitter ex-boyfriends so why should the Slumdog Millionaire star?
After all, what's a bit of collateral damage when you're on your way to becoming an international star?
Here she is at the premiere of her latest movie, Black Gold, looking really rather fabulous in a striking Salvatore Ferragamo gown. And Freida has learned just how to accessorise -- a chic gold clutch, a big smile and an adoring man.
We like it -- a lot.
Worst dressed: Jaime Winstone
It's a riddle wrapped in an enigma shrouded in mystery -- what does Jaime Winstone actually do?
We know that she used to go out with Alfie Allen (brother of Lily), that she starred in cheap and nasty Brit flick Donkey Punch and that if she sees a red carpet, she can't resist walking on it, no matter what she's actually wearing.
Well, we wish she had made use of a shroud this time round.
Of course she wanted to make an impression and show off her not inconsiderable assets. But really, turning up looking like a third-rate Cher impersonator isn't the way to do it. And even Cher wouldn't 'forget' her bra when she's stepping out in little more than an embellished layer of chiffon.
A slimline supermodel might, just might, be able to carry off this look. There's no danger of Ray Winstone's not-so-little girl doing it.
Next time Jaime, please do leave a bit more to our imagination.
