Red Carpet Wrap: Best and worst dressed
Who is a style queen and who should be taken away by the fashion police this week?
Best dressed: Frieda Pinto
We admit that we never thought it would last. Call us cynical, but we were a bit sceptical of the fairytale romance between the beautiful model who fell for her unassuming co-star in the movie hit of the year.
It was dead sweet -- unless, of course, you happened to be Frieda Pinto's former fiancée, but enough of that.
After all, what's a bit of collateral damage when you're on your way to becoming an international star?
Here she is at the premiere of the sure-to-be summer blockbuster, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, co-starring with the lovely James Franco. She's doing pretty well for herself.
But we were a bit taken aback to discover she and Slumdog Millionaire's Dev Patel are still going strong. Now that really is romance. And doesn't she look fabulous in her jade asymmetrical gown? Elegant, interesting and just a little bit daring. It's the perfect lesson in grown-up glamour.
Worst dressed: Olivia Wilde
Oh Olivia, whatever were you thinking? There's no need to be in quite such a hurry to grow up. You're only 27, after all.
Obviously your days of being the latest starlet on the block are behind you, but there's no need to give up just yet.
Talk about a frocky horror show. It may be Dolce & Gabbana, but this gothic night-dress with its lashings of lace adds decades and does a great job of hiding your fabulous figure. All that heavy, heavy eye make-up isn't exactly flattering either.
We know that you follow a seriously strict diet and exercise regime (the Cowboys & Aliens actress never touches processed food, and worked out five days a week to prepare for her latest role), but what's the point in pushing your body to the max (not to mention getting dizzy from all those hundreds of hula-hoops -- it's the latest fitness fad, y'know) and then covering up the results?! Silly girl.
