Red Carpet Week: Best and worst dressed
Who is a style queen and who should be taken away by the fashion police this week?
Best Dressed: Emily Blunt
Pity poor Emily. After all, if your first claim to fame is playing fashion's most savvy assistant when you got to wear one fabulous ensemble after another, you're always going to feel bit of pressure when it comes to the red carpet.
There are so many judgemental people who would love to criticise your sartorial choices. We're always surprised just how mean-spirited some can be.
Never mind, Emily, you've made the cut -- this time.
Even the most critical style watcher is bound to be green with envy when they see this striking jade number from Oscar de la Renta (although they may not be quite so taken with your choice of slightly stumpy sandals).
It's a perfect pop of springtime that just happens to show off your assets to their best advantage: we definitely approve.
Worst Dressed: Carol Vorderman
Oh Carol, do we really need to spell it out for you? Just because you can fit into a dress -- we'll ignore that little overspill around the décolletage -- doesn't mean you should actually wear it.
We know that you're very brainy when it comes to maths so you've obviously worked out the cost-per-wear price of your very daring outfit. But we have our fingers and toes crossed that you didn't splash out too much on it.
This is its second outing and, well, we really wouldn't consider ourselves lucky if we were to spot it a third time.
Of course we do applaud your recessionary instinct to recycle a dress that you clearly love (after all, why else would you pour yourself into it -- it can't exactly have been easy), we're just questioning your seemingly tacky taste!
You've got a great figure, but we don't need to see all of it.
