They say that you've really mastered the art of self love when you spend money on under garments that only you will see. We challenge you to go a step further and treat yourself to some fancy socks while simultaneously helping a good cause. Monaghan's Cashmere in Dublin's Royal Hibernian Way is selling pink cashmere socks for the entire month of October and 50 per cent of all sales go to the Irish Cancer Society's Action Breast Cancer programme. The pale pink socks cost €40, are made from the finest of Scottish cashmere and, apparently, once you tuck your feet into them on a cold winter's morning they nearly have to be wedged off you they're so addictive. If pink isn't your thing you can start your Christmas shopping early and buy them for a friend/sister/ lover as a special stocking filler. www.monaghans cashmere.ie
