Olivia Palermo claims she hasn’t changed how she dresses since she became famous.

The 24-year-old New York socialite shot to fame in reality television show The City alongside Whitney Port and has become a style icon thanks to her classically chic appearance. She has appeared in campaigns for Mango and Matches and released her own jewellery line last year.

Olivia insists she has always had a natural flair for fashion and was committed to looking perfect even before she landed a role on The City.

“Being in the public eye hasn’t affected my look. Feeling pulled together has always been a part of me,” she explained. “The look I aspire to is timeless elegance.”

Olivia has a very strong sense when it comes to clothes and knows exactly what suits her. She is also fastidious about her hair and make-up and rarely experiments with different looks. The star believes it is important for people to find their own style and feel comfortable with it.

“I do my own hair and make-up unless I have a photoshoot. For special occasions, I experiment a little, but I always think, ‘Wear your hair how you do every day, that’s how it looks best,’” she explained. “I’m diligent about keeping my hair in good condition and I get manicures and pedicures weekly, always in red.”
