Olivia Palermo doesn’t think it’s necessary to buy more clothes to achieve a fresh new look.

The 24-year-old television star has shot glamorous campaigns for brands including Mango and Matches, and is a major style icon for women across the globe thanks to her classic chic appearance.

Although Olivia loves nothing more than splashing out on a designer frock, she admits going shopping isn’t always the best way to update your look. The beauty has an innovative idea which will save money and help fashion fans look up-to-date without parting with any cash.

“You don’t always have to buy something new to look amazing. Take the items that you already own in your closet, then try out different combinations that you’ve never worn before. If your lacking inspiration, browse through fashion editorials or check out Boutiques.com for new ideas,” she advised on InStyle.co.uk.

Olivia achieves her classic look by investing in expensive pieces that will last her a long time and add panache to a plain outfit. She believes one of the best ways to modernise a look is by wearing a knock-out accessory and cites American jeweller Lulu Frost as one of the best brands to invest in.

“I love statement pieces, most of my jewellery is one-of-a-kind, but at the moment Lulu Frost is one of my favourites,” she gushed.
