There will be an Alexander McQueen show in Paris this season, the parent company of the Gucci Group, PPR, has announced.

There was uncertainty as to whether or not the collection was close enough to completion to warrant the show going ahead, after McQueen's tragic death a week ago .

It will undoubtedly be the most sought after show during Paris fashion week, with everyone clamouring for a glimpse at his final collection.

PPR also said that the Alexander McQueen brand will continue without its founder.

‘The Alexander McQueen trademark will live on.’ said Francois Henri-Pinault CEO of PPR.

There is likely to be endless speculation around who will succeed McQueen.
