Katie Grand has "huge respect" for fellow stylist Carine Roitfeld.
The 39-year-old Briton has had a successful fashion career, cementing her reputation as one of the world’s premier fashion stylists and currently sits as editor of fashion magazine LOVE, a publication she launched herself.
Although one of the most respected women in the industry, Katie reserved special praise for another stylist, French Vogue Editor-in-Chief Carine Roitfeld - who is set to leave the publication at the end of next month after announcing her resignation.
“I have the hugest respect for Carine Roitfeld who both edits a monthly magazine and styles such great stories,” she told website Fashionista.
Katie went on to describe what she looks for in a potential stylist.
“I gauge a lot from personal appearance and whether someone is nice or not, to be honest,” she explained.
Her achievements have ensured she’s been able to work with many famous faces including Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Elizabeth Hurley. Despite this, Katie looks closer to home when deciding who has most influenced her over her career.
“In chronological order: my dad, Nathan Wilkins, Giles Deacon, Rankin, Jefferson Hack, David Davies, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Steve Mackey, Miuccia Prada, Marc Jacobs and Nicholas Coleridge. I think they all influenced me hugely,” she said.
