Kathryn Thomas is the frugal fashionista in €68 dress
A €68 dress worn by Kathryn Thomas (35) on the Voice of Ireland has hit all the right notes with fashion-conscious ladies.
The bubbly presenter set tongues wagging after appearing on the first live show in the one-shouldered blue gown.
It was chosen by Amy Huberman's stylist Ingrid Hoey, who said they've had an 'unbelievable response' from fashion fans.
"Some of the clothes you see on TV are just unattainable price-wise, they could be a few hundred euros and out of a lot of people's reach but this is so affordable. People couldn't believe the price of it, the reaction has been fantastic," she said.
"Myself and Kathryn went into the store, Om Diva, about three weeks ago and picked out a few pieces including this dress. The store owner didn't know she was going to wear it so got a nice surprise on Sunday night."
Glamorous Kathryn is hailed for her keen fashion sense and is a regular on best-dressed lists.
Ms Hoey added she has been styling the former No Frontiers presenter for so long that they rarely have any fashion faux-pas.
"I've been working with Kathryn for three years now and I know her shape so I usually know what suits her," she said.
Om Diva owner Ruth Ni Lionsigh has had to re-order the one-shouldered dress after Kathryn wore it on TV.
The designer said she's been inundated with queries about their popular creation, thanks to its affordability.
"I've just re-ordered it in different colours, it's flying out the door. You couldn't have got a better person than Kathryn to wear it. She looked amazing in it, we were delighted when we saw it on her," she said.
