Jennifer Lawrence's dress comes apart as she accepts best actress award
THE 'Silver Linings Playbook' actress suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the way to accept her statue at last night’s Screen Actress Guild award.
As her name was read out as the winner of the best actress statue, the 22-year-old stood up to walk on stage, but almost lost her Christian Dior couture dress, which split in the middle, drawing gasps from the assembled star studded audience.
Jennifer's outfit was the hot topic of conversation during the night's events as she seemed to suffer a wardrobe malfunction when she was called up to accept her trophy.
The frock, which was appeared on the runway at last week's Paris Couture Fashion Week, showed clear partitions that were connected by sheer lining. Jennifer's dress was modified for her awards appearance and had the lining hidden, to hide the fact it was a tiered gown.
Once she was called on stage to accept her award, the combination of her pulling up the top part of the dress while having the bottom part caught up after sitting down resulted in her revealing the sheer lining in between.
Jennifer completed her standout look with Chopard jewels, a Roger Vivier clutch and Jimmy Choo shoes. The star opted for a deep side parted wavy hair style and screen siren red lips to compliment her navy blue strapless floor length dress.
Marion Cotillard also chose a Spring 2013 Couture collection gown in an utterly chic blue shade. Marion's dress had added white trim which she rocked with an asymmetrical hairstyle to match.
Also looking enchanting on the night was Amanda Seyfried who wowed in a body-hugging light navy mermaid gown from Zac Posen's Pre-Fall 2013 collection.
Fashion Police correspondent Kelly Osbourne opted for a vintage feel with her look, dressed in a striking black floor length Jenny Packham gown that featured gorgeous embellishment. Kelly added Brian Atwood shoes and a Marchesa bag to complete her ensemble.
Sofía Vergara looked the epitome of Hollywood glamour as she walked the red carpet at the 19th annual Awards ceremony. She was dressed in a white gold liquid lame gown by Donna Karan Atelier, with Neil Lane jewels and Charlotte Olympia shoes. The Modern Family actress joked her father never expected she would make such a ladylike and classy star on the red carpet.
"My father told me if I did anything artistic, I would look like a hooker," Sofia joked to US Weekly."I told him, 'With these huge boobs that I inherited from your mother, I already look like a hooker!'"
